The International Music Festival of Cancun

The International Music Festival of Cancun was created on 2013 supporting the identity and culture of the state of Quintana Roo and consists of three programs, the scenic, academic and social with more than 40 different activities for the public in general like concerts, workshops, and contests.

This year the festival will take place between October 18th and the 27th with more than 300 musicians from 12 nationalities performing. During the 10 days of this event there will be too held piano chairs, a musical production workshop and the trumpeters congress, to mention some.

Fascinating Artists!

The official musicians lineup has not yet been published, but the festival's general director Victoria García said that it is confirmed the presence of Leonard Jácome, trumpeter and jazz composer Wynton Marsalis, and the voice of Iraida Noriega. To close with a flourish, the Spanish singer Luz Casal.

This year the International Music Festival will be in honor of José Feliciano's 50 years of artistic career, so there will be a tribute to him too in the festival’s activities.

The International Music Festival is held every year with the support of the Oasis Foundation, The Universidad del Caribe and Mexico News Network among other sponsors and as part of the festival's social support many of the concerts and activities will be free and will be held at different points of the city, this with the purpose of plaguing Cancun of culture, melody and 10 days of incredible moments for all music lovers.
